Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health (MBCMH) has been providing Mental Health Services for local residents since 1972. The agency is empowered by the Michigan Mental Health Code, PA 258 of 1974 and governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Benzie and Manistee County Boards of Commissioners. Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health is a member of the Community Mental Health Affiliation of Mid-Michigan.
Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health is a CARF-accredited service board founded in 1972. We provide a wide range of services including:
- 24-hour emergency care
- Care and support for adults and children with serious mental illness or developmental disabilities
- Psychiatric and psychological services
- Work services
- Supported independent living
- Respite services
- Depression screening and treatment
